Mourning For A Lost Cause
Mourning For A Lost Cause is a photography project that offers a unique perspective on the Islamic holiday called Ashura. Muslims from various walks of life gather in the streets to commemorate the day of Ashura, which observes the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, the third Shiite Imam, and his companions. All the photos in this collection were captured using the long exposure technique with an ND filter in the streets of Zarand, Iran.
