Title: Sanctuary

In a time when every movement is tracked and every face becomes data, the circles in this series offer a quiet rebellion. They hide what the world insists on exposing.
Most of these photographs were taken in Beijing, a city watched by millions of cameras, where surveillance has become part of daily rhythm. In such a place, anonymity is rare, almost impossible.
By removing each face, the images push back against constant observation. The circle becomes a small sanctuary, a fragile border between the human being and the watching world. These figures move through public spaces with their identities protected: not erased, but reclaimed. The circles become both shield and memorial, defending what remains while mourning what has already been lost.
