The telephoto-versus-ultrawide decision ultimately reflects personal photographic methodology. Professionals emphasizing subject isolation, background compression, and distant capture will gravitate toward telephoto retention. Those prioritizing expansive environmental documentation or architectural work will favor ultrawide preservation.

For a device commanding premium pricing, the limitation itself warrants scrutiny. Consumers investing in flagship technology reasonably expect comprehensive optical systems. However, if compromise becomes inevitable, individual shooting patterns should guide selection—not manufacturer assumptions about typical usage patterns.
